Louis J. Nacke

Louis J. Nacke
United Flight 93

On what would have been Louis J. Nacke's first wedding anniversary, he was feted with his favorite food and wine by the family he left behind.

"He would have wanted us to do it this way," said Nacke's father-in-law, Robert Weisberg. "It was very poignant, and we will always remember him."

Nacke, 42, of New Hope, Pa., was killed when United Airlines Flight 93 crashed in rural Pennsylvania. Nacke and his wife, Amy, had been living with Weisberg while they waited for their home to be built. Their first wedding anniversary was Sept. 16.

Nacke was a voracious weightlifter and "proactive" guy who oversaw operations at a K-B Toys warehouse in Clinton, N.J. He was on the plane headed for San Francisco on business on Sept. 11.

"He really didn't want to go and wasn't much of a flier--maybe two or three times a year," Weisberg said. "The timing was just unbelievable. You just want to turn back the clock."
