Kathy Nicosia, 54,

Kathy Nicosia of Winthrop, a flight attendant for American Airlines, was killed Sept. 11 in New York on American Airlines Flight 11. She was 54.
Mrs. Nicosia was a native of Indiana. She received her bachelor's degree from Bowling Green State University in 1969, where she was a member of Alpha Chi Omega.
For 32 years, Mrs. Nicosia was a resident of Winthrop and a flight attendent for American Airlines. She enjoyed reading and gardening.
She leaves her husband, George; her daughter, Marianne of Winthrop; her mother, Phyllis Hawk of Portage, Mich.; two brothers, James Hawk of Washington D.C., and Larry Hawk of New York City; and a sister, Kimberly Meyer of Tecumseh, Mich.
Services will be private.
